The Montenegrin attack on the ships of the Albanians of Spiç in 1852

In 1852, the “Magdeburgische Zeitung” reported that the Montenegrins had burned down the ships of the Albanians of Spiç (called Spizzanottes).

Cited:

“Oss Dalm reports: On December 13th, the young Vladika Danilo Petrovic, accompanied by a former adjutant of the deceased Vladika and another nephew of the deceased named Perovic, arrived in Cattaro and received the Montenegrins who had traveled to meet him very kindly. On September 15th, he continued his journey to Cettigne. The Montenegrins have carried out another bold act of revenge against the Spizzanottes and burned several of their ships at night.”
