Hoxha was a merchant from the city of Elbasan, who dealt in trade, for which he bought the truck in question in 1943, from the then Administration of Ahmet Zog, King of the Albanian Kingdom. In the meantime, in 1944 this merchant came to Peja for his business, and after the closure of the border between Albania and Kosovo, he was forced to stay in Peja where he raised his family.

Gëzim Hoxha, now deceased, the former Peja merchant was the son of Qazim, who had told the Peja in Focus website the story of the first truck that his father brought to Peja, he had said that his memories of his father are entirely from what his mother told him, because his father, Qazim, had passed away in 1973, when he was less than two years old.

– “I only know this based on my mother’s words, he bought the truck in Albania, in the Administration of King Zog.”- Gëzim had said, for Peja in Focus.
– “But, what happened to the first truck that came to Peja after the Second World War?”
“After the border was closed, my father could no longer return to Elbasan, where he came from, and then he got married here” – Gëzim added, saying: “Even in 1956 we bought the house where we are today, and it is likely that the truck was also sold to buy this house, but my mother did not confirm this to me”.

On the other hand, according to the story, the connection of Qazim Hoxha, who brought the first truck to Peja, with this city was since before 1944, being a regular guest at the then “Skenderbeg” Hotel, and later the “Korza” Hotel, where, according to his son, he had many meetings with organized formations of legalists, who were in favor of the policies of King Ahmet Zogu. Qazim Hoxha later sold his truck to start working in the state sector, but the fate and ownership of that truck is unknown.
