Albanians, helped by Vlachs and Orthodox Albanians, who have assimilated and today consider themselves Macedonians, declared the Republic of Krushevo. Krushevo was just the beginning. Then the unification of all Albanian lands under the name Republic of Arbërija (Arbanashka-Arbënesko-Arvanitska Republika) was to be declared.
Part of this state would be the Orthodox Albanian population (Mijats) as well as the Vlachs (Cincars) who lived and fought alongside the Albanians. That the Albanians, together with the Vlachs, should rise up against the Empire was also the constant and persistent demand of the Albanians’ only friend, Austria-Hungary. Bulgaria and the Bulgarian VMRO agreed with the Albanian uprisings, because they did not seek territories in the Albanian lands, Manastir – Prilep – Krushevo – Veles – Kumanovo – Preshevo.
Vienna constantly explained to the Albanians that the danger came from Greece, Montenegro and Serbia, that behind their backs was Mother Russia and that they planned to divide the Albanian lands and that there would be no Albanian state in the Balkans.
Sefer Zajazi and his platoon also participated in this uprising, and while returning from Krushevo, to a place called Karbunice – south of Kicevo, Serbian Chetniks who were paid and fighting for Serbia had ambushed them. After their cartridges were spent, the group headed towards Zajaz, while Seferi and his three friends fought until the last cartridge, where they were martyred. “Sefer, take the yellow mustache….write a letter and take it to the streets, let them bring us pockets to bring us cartridges, says the song”.
The documents of the Sofia Archive, which I found in 2008, say that Hasan Prishtina, Dervish Hima and Ibrahim Temo, in Ohrid had a meeting with the Bulgarian leaders where they agreed to fight against Serbia, which planned to re-create Tsar Dushan’s Serbia, which extended to Durrës.
Immediately after this great event, the proclamation of the Albanian-Vlach Republic of Krusevo, came the Alphabet Congress in Manastir-1908 and the declaration of independence in 1912.
The bad luck of the Albanians was that they had neither a mother nor father, who stood behind you, just as mother Russia stood behind Serbia, Montenegro and Greece and still stands behind them today, when it comes to Albanians.

The document says that Hasan Beg Prishtina, with the mediation of Europe, met with our representative Pavlov in Duracio

In the photo you can see that most of the soldiers of Pitu Gul’s detachment were wearing white tirchi and caps, while the Orthodox Albanians and Vlachs were wearing black caps.
This is the book that I dedicated to the Republic of Krushevo. There are many archival documents from the Sofia Archive.

On the cover of the book I placed the flag of the Republic of Krushevo. The fighter on the flag represents an Albanian because he is wearing a tirchi, a jamadan and a white Albanian cap. This is the strongest argument that the uprising was Albanian-Vlach and that they declared the republic. There are Albanians today who do not want to accept it, just as there are those who do not accept either Mother Teresa or Kastrioti as Albanians..
