Its interesting to read in a German war report from 1877 during the Montenegrin-Albanian war that the Montenegrins intended to invade not only the Albanian regions of Tivari (Antivari), Spizza, Fort Sutorman, Shushanj and Shkodër but they also wanted to invade Lezhë.
Cited:
“As already telegraphically signaled, Fort Sutorman, which controlled access to Antivari and was armed with a large position gun, was taken the day before yesterday. Yesterday and today, cannon fire was heard from all directions, from Podgorizza and Velje Brdo and from Albania. The latest reports indicate that the Montenegrins, after capturing the fortifications in their path, have entered the city of Antivari and that only the citadel, whose old ring walls have been reinforced by newly erected redoubts, still holds.
Some battalions have been directed towards Scutari, but these will hardly have a significant offensive task, but rather are intended to cover the army’s rear against any possible Turkish diversion. Once the citadel of Antivari has been taken, it seems that before turning against Scutari, they intend to capture the Albanian sea fortress of Lesch, out of consideration for their prospective Albanian allies, who could most easily be supplied with weapons, ammunition, and provisions from this point. “
