The Martinović case (1984) is a segment of the Serbian Sacred Doctrine during the special war in Kosovo, which took place in the period 1981-1990.
This case occurred in 1984, during the period when Slobodan Milošević aimed to occupy Kosovo, every day a lie was launched about alleged pressure from Albanians on Serbs, rape of Serbian old women, damage to Serbian cemeteries, a method well known since the Second World War when the Nazis accused the Jews of all evils.
The most blatant case of such an anthological lie is the self-harm of the Yugoslav Colonel Martinović, in 1984, who during self-gratification sessions, was seriously injured by tearing his colon with a glass bottle.
Although he initially stated in the Emergency Room of the Surgical Clinic in Pristina that the injury was his own doing, under pressure from the Serbian state security of the time, he changed the statement he had previously given, for “patriotic” political purposes, and accused Albanians of this act.
After the publication of Martinović’s statement in the Yugoslav media, all Yugoslav entities under Serbian influence reacted, and these reactions were also confirmed by the Academy of Arts and Sciences in Belgrade, judging with the greatest severity the Albanian violence against Serbs, which according to them had reached a new climax.
Systematic anti-Albanian propaganda by Serbian entities and institutions such as Radio Television, the Academy and the Government, coordinated by the Academy in Belgrade, at that time did not stop for months regarding the Martinović case. This case also reached the pages of the international press.
As a result of this case, there were also detentions of Albanians.
