This article discusses a book that dismantles 80 years of Serbian propaganda, propaganda that portrays Serbs as anti-fascists and defenders of Jews during the Holocaust.
Written by a Jew and based on hundreds of sources and documents, the book brings us the truth that Serbs actively participated in the persecution and murder of Jews during World War II and that anti-Semitism was part of the programs of Serbian nationalism since its beginnings in the 19th century.
Based on source data, the book shows that in Milan Nedič’s Serbia, between 1942-1944, over 15 thousand Jews were killed. The book also provides an overview of the anti-Semitism cultivated by the Tito regime for more than three decades.
