On November 22, 1913 the Serbian soldier Dimitrija Tucovićija, nicknamed “Certi”, wrote a letter to the Serbian paper “Radničke novine“ about the Serbian atrocities and massacre of the Albanians of Lume. The massacre was carried out by Serb captain Jurisic (Jurišićita) and Lieutenant Colonel Miliqevic (Milićevićem)

“When the Serbian troops destroyed this village, there were no men there. It was pointless for the back-up officers to object those who were ordered to burn the village and slaughter everything and everyone they come across. Despite continuously asking from reassurance from the commander, they were ordered to kill everyone, even though all who were left were children and women. “Every One!”, that was the answer from some sort of Captain Jurishiqit, who was in a deal with the Lieutenant Colonel Miliqeviq.
The gunshots killed all the women who had their infants close to their chest to the ground. Underneath all their dead bodies you could hear all the desperate cries of the infants that had survived accidentally. In about two hours 500 souls were killed.
The stabbings stopped when a number of officers protested admitting that “foully” Albanian soldiers, were disarming Serbians but releasing them, meanwhile our “disciplined” army is killing their children! But it was too late. All that was left to be done and could be done was for all the corpses to be put inside houses and be burned, so this crime as well would be spotless and forgotten.

LUMIN MASAKR
i svakoga koga sretnu.
