825 years ago, Llapi was mentioned in a charter letter of Shtjefën Nemanja (Steven Nemanjic) from 1198. 568 years ago, Llapashtica was mentioned in the cadastral list of 1455.

A charter letter of Stefan Nemanja from 1198 for Hilandar also includes Llapi, Lipjan, Prizren and Arbanashët e Pulati together with Zeta and the coastal cities. This was published in the book “Stara srpska knizevnost -I-” (Old Serbian Literature -I-) Publishing House “Buducnost” 1970, author Dr. Dragolub Pavlovic.

In the original text: “HILANDAROVA POVELJA STEVANA NEMANJE 1198” (CHARTA OF HILANDAR STEVAN NEMANJE) among other things it is written:

“I rebuilt my ancestral land and I became stronger with the help of God and my wisdom, given to me by God, I raised my ruined ancestral land and I gained: from the sea land Zeta and its cities, from the Arbanasi Pilot, and from the Greek land Lab with Lipljan, Dubočica, Reke, Zagrlat, Levče, Belica, Lepenica…”
