Serbian propaganda; depicting a Serbian Chetnik killer as a “Montenegrin warrior”

The Serbian title for this photograph is “Serbs of Peja-Peć burying the head of a Montenegrin warrior killed by Albanians in Rugova, September 1908. However, Albanian sources point to the fact that the photo is said to show the Serbian militia of Peja burying the head of Mitër Milan (a notorious paramilitary Chetnik), brother of Montenegrin general Marko Milanjov (Mark Milani). Miter Milani was decapitated by Hysen Bajri, Rugova’s bannerman.
