In 1937, Albania already had functional domestic airlines. At that time, the Italian airline Ala Littoria operated regular flights on the Korça–Tirana and Kuçove–Tirana routes and vice versa.
An original ticket preserved from that time shows that the registered passenger was Adelina Kosturi, from Korça, who was traveling to Tirana by scheduled plane – a fact that today seems incredible by the standards of Albania at that time.
The document proves not only the existence of domestic air transport in the 1930s, but also another interesting reality: the Albanian passport was internationally recognized, and Albanian citizens could travel to many countries without the need for a visa.
A piece of history that dispels the myth that Albania at that time was isolated or backward, showing that the country had air connections, internationally valid documents, and citizens who traveled freely.
