Taken from Bekim Z Muriqi’s publication.

Rud Halili was an Albanian fighter from Rugova who was the right hand of patriot Riz Zymeri and collegaeu to Halil Uka, Butak Hyseni and Imer Maliqi.

Life

“He was born in 1890, in the village of Stankaj in Rugova. He comes from a well-known patriotic family in Rugova. He participated in several wars that took place between Rugova and Montenegro. He was known for his extraordinary bravery and heroism. One of his special events that is still mentioned today was a fight between him and two Montenegrins for territory on the Rugova-Montenegro border, in which Rud Halili won, gaining territory for the good of the Fatherland and Rugova. He died of natural causes in 1977, and was buried in the village of Stankaj in Rugova.”

Cited from a relative:

“Rud Halili is my uncle who was the right hand of Riz Zymer and Halil Uka and one of the most loyal people like Butak Hyseni and Imer Maliqi for over 30 years. The Yugoslav terrorist state was afraid these Albanians who would lead Rugova. They were the only Albanians who entered the chamber of King Ahmet Zogu armed”.
