This article discusses old manuscripts in Albanian from t8th century. Avni Rustem Mahmutaj writes:

“Never seen before, that I was able to secure today. It is about 44 pages of manuscripts (author unknown) found in Elbasan. These manuscripts were sent to the Austrian Consul J. Von. Hahn for study by a professor of the Austrian Academy.

The manuscripts are thought to belong to the 18th century – and are thought to have been written in the Elbasan alphabet. Later I will give you a full overview of these manuscripts, after I have studied and deciphered them.”
