The location of the Kulla (fortified tower) where Albanian border guard Zhuj Selmani fought, has been a mystery for centuries. The tower was called “Kulla e Sheremetit” (the tower of Sheremet)” and was attacked by Montenegrin forces in 1875. Now we know, thanks to dedicated research by members of the Muriqi family, a professor and Enver Prevukaj that the fortified tower was here:

Vendndodhja e Kullës (kullës së fortifikuar) ku luftoi roja kufitare shqiptare Zhuj Selmani, ka qenë një mister për shekuj me radhë. Kulla quhej “Kulla e Sheremetit” (kulla e Sheremetit) dhe u sulmua nga forcat malazeze në vitin 1875. Tani e dimë, falë kërkimeve të përkushtuara nga anëtarët e familjes Muriqi dhe një profesor, dhe Enver Prevlukaj se, me shumë mundësi, kulla e fortifikuar ka qenë këtu:
