This text has been gathered by descendants of the Zymeraj family of Koshutan of Rugova, and is based on local folklore.
In 1913, a Montenegrin unit entered Koshutan and arrested twenty-four men (including Sak Faslia) with the intention of shooting them. However, they escaped thanks to the discovery of Ibish Bajram from Koshutan. Zymer Selmani, the brother of the national tribune fighter Zhujë Selmani, did not escape the shooting.
Zymer was captured in Peja and was liquidated by the Montenegrins on the same day. The arrest of the men of Koshutan was done with the aim of revenge, and targeted for liquidation. The Koshutans had previously killed several Montenegrins and burned Bukovik.
At the head of the fighters who burned Bukovik was Zymer Selmani, whose male family members, who were with their livestock, were killed by the Montenegrins near Bukovik. After the killing of the shepherds, Zymer and forty (40) fellow villagers had undertaken this action to take revenge. They had fallen and burned Bukovik.
After the arrests and murder of Zymer Selmani, the Montenegrin repression became even more savage. Their target was Koshutan. Out of fear and terror that the Montenegrins would commit a massacre in Košutani, many families left the village and some took their wives, elders and children away to escape the terror.
