Masakra serbe e shqiptarëve të Shtupeqit të Madhe dhe Qafën e Qyqes të Rugovës së Kosovës më 1919
Abstract
This study documents a massacre committed by Serbian military forces in 1919 against Albanian civilians in the villages of Shtupeq i Madhë and Qafë e Qyqes in the Rugova region of Kosovo. According to testimonies preserved through family memory and recorded in the book Kacaket (2022), the violence resulted in the burning of 200 civilians. Drawing on oral histories collected from relatives of the victims, the account contributes to the documentation of early twentieth-century atrocities against Albanian populations. The study underscores the importance of survivor testimony and local historical memory in reconstructing episodes absent from official archives.
