After the Yugoslav occupation on November 17, 1944, the occupying forces in Peja sentenced seven Albanians to death; Rugova martyrs from Shtupeq i Vogel, Boge, and Shkrel who had fought against the occupation. In November, they were killed at the house of Halil Mehmeti – Nitaj in Shtupeq i Vogel in the village of Rugova.
