The Serbian Chetnik attack on the Albanians of Orllan, Kaqanuell, Selac, Koliq, Sharban and Podujevë in 1919

The Serbian massacres of Albanian children of Orllan, Kaqanuell, Selac, Koliq, Sharban and Podujevë in 1919

In 1919, following years of Serbian massacres carried out against Albanians since 1912, a group of Serbian murderers armed themselves and traveled to Belgrad. There they greeted Alexander I of Serbia, son of King Peter, and explained that the Chetniks were going to attack Albanians once again. Alexander accepted this policy, as did Peter.

After this meeting the Chetniks gathered 500 komitadjis (paramilitaries) and began their travel to Albanian territories. They arrived in Gollak where they surrounded an Albanian house. After forcing the women to get out of the house, the Chetniks killed them with knifes, and they also killed a 12 year old boy having his guts pour out.

The Serbian chetniks then went to kill many other Albanian children with knifes. The Serbs then tied children onto hay stacks and burned them alive, in front of the parents who did dare to get close.

The Chetniks then continued murdered many Albanians in the regions of Prapashtica, Koliq and Sharban, all the way to Podujevë.
