When Serbian forces entered Durrës on December 2, 1912, 1 month after Albania declared independence, the Serbian commander immediately lowered the Albanian flag.

The Serbian forces had violated every moral and legal code of the era by massacring Albanian civilians and burning Albanian villages. Having marched and invaded all Albanian lands, committing atrocities which the entire world wrote about, the Serbian commander immediately lowered the Albanian flag, claiming that an Albanian state did not exist.

This article shows the chauvinist imperialist and inhumane perspective of the Serbian leadership, which has continued to this day.
