In the book “Istorija srpskoga naroda: Vreme kraljevstva i carstva (1159-1367), written by Pantelija Slavkov Srećković in 1888, we find an interesting passage:

“Године 1335 Албанци из околина Београда и Канине упадну у византијске покрајине и највише пострадају од њих Београд Кањина Скрапар”

Translation:
“In 1335, Albanians from the surroundings of Berat and Janina invaded the Byzantine provinces and suffered the most from them …”
