Summary
The article discusses an article by Irena Nikollova, a Macedonian student studying in Australia, who publicly stated that the “FYROM project” was created by Tito in 1945 at the expense of indigenous Albanians. She says she previously believed what she was taught by teachers and politicians, but later changed her views after studying abroad and reading more widely. Nikollova argues that Macedonians should not fear the truth and claims that Albanians are the native population of the territories in question. She also criticizes what she describes as historical misrepresentation and says she has a clear conscience for speaking out publicly.
Did Tito create Macedonia on the backbone of the Indigenous Albanians?
Irena Nikollova, a Macedonian who studies in Australia, has surprised public opinion by admitting that the “FYROM project” was created on the backbone of the Albanians. “Earlier I believed the lies, because that is what teachers and politicians taught me, but when I came to study in Australia, I learned the truth,” she emphasized, among other things, in a status published on Facebook.
And not only that, but Nikollova has insisted that her position be published in the media.
“I don’t understand why we are afraid of the truth and of our own shadow. It is a fact that the FYROM project was created by Tito in 1945 on the backbone of the Albanians, who are the indigenous people in their territories. We hold our breath, write and speak Slavic Cyrillic.
Earlier I believed the lies, because that is what teachers and politicians taught me, but when I came to study in Australia, I learned the truth. I have read world literature and I no longer live in ignorance. I have a clear conscience. ‘We steal from everyone, therefore no one in the world recognizes us,’” writes Nikollova.
