The grammar text “Osservazioni Gramaticali in Lingua albanese”, was written to serve Italian clergy, creating opportunities for them to conduct liturgy in the Albanian language (1584):

“Dear Arbenuer, I wrote this Grammar not for your lordship, who knows more and is clearer than I, but for those Brothers, who come from afar to serve you. And although, these people of Rome do not know your language: it is a good work, that they have come to an understanding here before. If the account of this letter pleases you (I beg you), forgive me, O Lord, for giving me health to finish this work”.
