Halil Berisha, the Doctor who refused to sign the suicide and the torture of Xhemajl Berisha

The Serbian occupiers, being unparalleled criminals, tried to cover up the monstrous crime they had committed by offering the well-known Prizren orthopaedist and traumatologist, Dr. Halil Berisha, a document to sign claiming that Professor Xhemajli Berisha had allegedly jumped from the prison window and committed suicide.

But the patriotic doctor, when he saw how the criminals had torn the body of the unyielding Xhemajli Berisha into pieces, followed in the footsteps of his famous predecessor, the patriot Dr. Ali Sokoli, who had refused to sign the death by torture of Fazli Graiqevci. He categorically refused to sign the document.

The Serbian criminals took revenge on 3 June 1989.

One and a half months after the murder by torture of Professor Xhemajli Berisha, they poisoned the patriotic doctor Halil Berisha.

Dr. Halil Berisha died in the hospital in Skopje, in North Macedonia.
