27 years ago today, 53 Albanian civilians were massacred during Serbia’s genocide against Albanians of Kosova – 23 of them children. The youngest victim, Lirije Muçolli, was just 6 months old. Her name means freedom. She didn‘t live to see it.

“She was only 6 months old, but that didn’t stop the Serbian army from killing Lirije Muçolli. In addition to her, 54 civilians were killed in Poklek, Drenas, among them Sinan Muçolli, who was 75 years old.

Serbian paramilitary forces left numerous victims even after the massacres in Likoshan and Çirez, Izbica, Dubrava Prison, Krusha e Madhe, Meja, Qyshk, Reçak, Suhareka, Abri e Epërme, Rezalle and many other places throughout Kosovo.”
