The Albanian Milaim Pelivani of Gostivar who won the 1931 Chicago Olympics in wrestling

Milaim Pelivani (Turkish : Gostivarli Mülayim Pehlivan ; Çegran , 1895 – Istanbul , 1974) was an Albanian wrestler who represented Turkey at the 1931 Chicago Olympics.

A Turkish website writes:

“He was a very strong man. He would lift his opponent into the air, spin him around, and bring his back to the ground. It is rumored that he even defeated a wrestler from Tekirdağ, but the victory was not accepted by the referee committee of the Gostivar News Center”.
