Albanians and Albanianism Highest Virtue; Religious tolerance of Catholic Christians with Muslim Names

by Bashkim Kombi

These names have been the first phase of Albanianism, when a Christian was not prevented from holding a Muslim name, or vice versa. In fact, Albanians of the Islamic faith have held Christian names much less often, but on the other hand, their number is very large, who have preserved the surnames of their ancestors with a Christian basis.

I repeat it once again, but in a little more detail:

A Christian Albanian who bears the name Bajram, Shaban, Tahir, etc., as well as an Albanian of the Islamic faith who bears the surname Nikaj, Gjokaj, Marku, etc., in the core of these identities I see the beginnings of Albania.

Naturally, today’s Albania has taken steps even further, publicly placing national sentiment above every religion and every party. Today’s true Albania is distinguished by the selection of names for itself, for children and for various notions, which have Albanian, namely Illyrian-Albanian, meaning.

Therefore, we must affirm the full Albanianness, which keeps us together united in terms of blood, language, culture, history, etc. These are the parallels that shatter all obstacles and barriers in the realization of Albanianness.

Long live Albania.
