The District Court in Rijeka, Croatia, on April 29, 2026, ordered pretrial detention for a 25-year-old Serbian citizen, who is suspected of the criminal offense of damaging another person’s property and public incitement to violence and hatred.

The detention was ordered because the suspect is unavailable to Croatian judicial authorities and, according to court allegations, is on the run.

Croatian judicial authorities attempted to locate the individual through international legal assistance, but the Republic of Serbia rejected the request.
