Serbian Barbarism in Brut
In the village of Brut, near the Drin River, Serbian troops revealed their savage nature during the 1912-1913 campaign. They ordered local Albanian villagers to bring them food. Once the villagers complied and delivered the supplies, the Serbian soldiers murdered them in cold blood. To add to the horror, they severed the victims’ heads and placed them at the feet of dead Serbian troopers.
This grotesque act of betrayal and desecration epitomizes the barbarism of the Serbian forces. They rewarded peaceful civilians who obeyed their demands with slaughter and mutilation. The calculated cruelty—luring villagers with false security, then executing and decapitating them—demonstrates a depraved bloodlust and complete absence of human decency. Such demonic savagery against those who provided aid exposes the profound degeneracy embedded in the Serbian troops’ conduct.
