Albanian Fighters Killed in Battle Against Montenegrin Forces at the Battle of Dinosh (1912)

by Damir Dibra

The following individuals fell heroically in battle against the Montenegrin army:

  • Zek Tahiri Dukaj
  • Ahmet Rama Dreshaj
  • Osë Alia Kajoshaj
  • Nik Luca Kalaj

Zek Tahiri was married to the sister of Ahmet Rama from Kodër Budani. Zek Tahiri left behind a two-year-old son, Jusuf Zeka.

Have Ramja endured one of the greatest tragedies a woman could face: she had to bury both her husband, Zek Tahiri, and her brother, Ahmet Rama. Both men, along with Nik Luca, were killed while fighting for freedom near the mountain of Deçiq. Osë Alia was killed lower down the road, near the location where the house of Rrust Alia Nikaj stands today.
