Mujko Muković (Alb. Mujë Muka) (1894-1979) was the president of the Biševo municipality from 1935 to 1945 and one of the most prominent Albanian in this region after Šemsi-paša Čolović-Biševac. Mujë Muka came from an Albanian family, but was eventually slavicized (Bosniakification).

As a local political and social leader, together with the Biševo Bosniaks (Albanians), he led the defense of Novi Pazar in 1941 against Serb Chetnik attacks, and in this endeavor, Mullah Jakup Kardović stood side by side with him. After World War II, Muković left Sandžak and fled with his family to Skopje, where he died in 1979.

In the fateful year of 1941, when Chetnik units advanced from the direction of Raška with the bloody intention of capturing the city and destroying the Muslim population, Novi Pazar was not left alone. The fighters from Peshtera, led by Džemail Koničanin (Xhemail Koniqani) and the Drešević brothers, the heroes from Bishevo and Rozhaje under the banner of Mujko Muković and the mullah Jakup Kardović (Kardovi), and the Albanians led by the legendary Shaban Poluzha arrived to defend freedom.

Around 2,000 Muslim fighters arrived from the area of ​​Bishevo and Rozhaje, determined to defend the honor and lives of their brothers. 144 Albanian fighters fell in that epic defense, and their graves at Gazilar, the largest cemetery in Pazar, are an eternal testimony to brotherhood in blood and sacrifice.
