When Hippocrates mentioned the Albanians

Cited from “Nederlandsch magazijn, ter verspreiding van algemeene en nuttige kundigheden Volume 6” from 1834:

“Hippocrates seems to have already meant the Albanians when he drew attention to the difference between the tribes of Asia and the inhabitants of Europe. The Europeans, he says, are of a wild nature unsociable and savage because they live under a climate which constantly brings about a change in the mind which drives it to insensibility makes man wild and unfit for the soft impressions of a more reasonable and sociable life”.
