Serbian historian: Kosovo is not Serbian and never will be again

Historian and former Serbian ambassador to the US, Milan St. Protić, has commented on the latest political developments surrounding the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.

Historian Milan St. Protić says that “the fact is that Kosovo is not Serbian and never will be,” he told Nova TV, broadcast by FMimage.net.

“I think it’s just an empty phrase, giving up or not giving up has nothing to do with reality.” We can’t give up that it’s no longer Serbian and that’s the fact that it’s no longer Serbian and that’s the fact that it won’t be Serbian anymore. I’m sorry that it’s like this, we can discuss how it turned out, but that’s the fact.

The president of this country can’t go to Kosovo without someone’s permission, nor can a representative of this political country go there without permission. “There’s a government there that has a monopoly on physical force in that territory and that’s supported by the strongest countries in the world,” he said.
