Ahmet Selaj was born on November 3, 1958 in the village of Samadrajxhe, Suhareka municipality. He attended the “Mati Logoreci” elementary school in Prizren.
Due to his political activity against the Yugoslav occupier, he was sentenced to three years in prison, which he served. On September 15, 1981, he was sheltered in the city of Peja and was interrogated by the occupying Serb-Yugoslav militia and surrounded by over 50 police officers. Ahmeti did not surrender and was martyred in the fighting.
