The revenues allocated from the Kosovo budget for the Albanian community in the Presevo Valley in Serbia go through legal channels, as determined by the authorities of this country, but this does not happen with the millions from Serbia entering Kosovo.
The Serbian government continues to send millions of euros each year to Kosovo for the Serbian community, but it is still not known exactly where these funds end up and who their beneficiaries are.
Cases of misuse of these funds by Serbian politicians in Kosovo have often been reported, but despite this, there is still no concrete investigation into these revenues.
Serbian politician Radoica Radomirović on 07.02.2025, had revealed how in the Municipality of Leposavic he received money from both the Government of Kosovo and the Government of Serbia for the same projects.
Radomirović accuses of a lack of transparency because, according to him, it is not known where these funds really ended up.
The editor-in-chief of KALLXO.com , Kreshnik Gashi, who has closely followed some of these investments, explains that these funds ended up in the accounts of companies that are connected to politicians, and even politicians from the Serbian List in Kosovo benefited from them.
“The money that came from the Serbian government was used in Kosovo by various companies, then transferred to various interest groups and then financed political parties, especially the Serbian List, which then damaged democracy in our country,” said Gashi.
Furthermore, Gashi says that Serbia’s funds that entered Kosovo are not always intended to help the Serbian community and that they are often used by certain groups for nefarious purposes.
