The Serbian Military Tradition Of Mutilating Corpses In World War One

Cited:

“Serbs still retain the spirit of a barbaric, fervently hatred-driven warfare, as evidenced by their maiming and unleashing their savage hatred and thirst for revenge on the corpses of the fallen.

Despite doubtful struggles for freedom and bloody internal feuds, the Serbs have still retained the spirit of a barbaric warfare, imbued with burning hatred for their enemies, just as they do for peoples at a higher level of civilization.

They attempted to incite their fellow tribesmen in the enemy army to betray them. It is recounted that during the first days of October, the Serbian troops subjected the opposing Croatian reanimates to forced labor.

Samples presented to representatives of the German and foreign Bresse showed that the barbaric Dum Dum bullets once again played their murderous role, especially those that were at the height of their civilization.”
