Serbian Violation Of International Law and Kidnapping Austro-Hungarian Envoys To Hide Evidence Of War Crimes In 1912

The Haunovershes Sountagsblatt, on December 1, 1912, published an article about the Serbian atrocities against defenceless Albanians, and how the Serbs kidnapped Austro-Hungarian envoys who had witnessed Serbian crimes.

Cited:

“For the peace settlement, Turkey demands to retain a larger territory, but is willing to relinquish the entire western part of its European borders, thus also allowing Albania to become independent. Unfortunately, as impartial reports confirm, the Serbs in particular have repeatedly marred their conduct of the war with atrocities against the defenseless, especially in Albania. They detained the Austro-Hungarian envoys in Mitrovica and Prizrend in violation of international law, apparently to prevent them from witnessing their atrocities, and grossly violated the neutrality of the embassy in Prizrend. Serbia seems to be yielding to Austria’s strong protests.”
