Another massacre in Serbia, 21-year-old kills 8 people including 3 of his relatives, 13 injured. The perpetrator, the son of a Serbian army officer, a policeman is also a victim

8 people were killed and 13 injured in a horrific terrorist attack by a 21-year-old, the son of a Serbian army officer. The perpetrator, Uroš B., opened fire with an automatic weapon at a moving vehicle near a village 60km south of Belgrade, and then fled. The perpetrator was arrested a few hours later, hiding with his uncle.

SERBIA – Still shaken 48 hours after the massacre at an elementary school , with a death toll of 8 people, Serbia has not calmed down.

8 killed and 13 injured (7 of them in critical condition) was the horrific toll of a terrorist act by a 21-year-old, the son of a Serbian army officer.

The massacre took place around midnight after an argument in the schoolyard, after which 21-year-old Uros Blazic went home to get a gun. He first opened fire with a machine gun in the village of Dubona, about 60 kilometers southeast of Belgrade. He then fled the scene and continued his gunfire attacks in the villages of Mali Orasje and Sepsin.

After this massacre, at gunpoint, Uros forced a taxi driver to take him to the city of Vinishte, to his uncle’s house, where he hid for almost 8 hours to escape arrest by the police.

More than 600 members of the Serbian Special Forces participated in the pursuit of the 21-year-old, while all special police units were involved, including a counter-terrorism unit, helicopter units and police forces.

After 8 hours of searching, on Friday morning, police arrested Uros, while during the search of the house where the perpetrator was hiding, four bombs were found, which the ordnance disposal team seized. The entire family where the murderer from Mladenovac was hiding in the village of Vinishte was also arrested by the police, while according to the residents they were a respected family, but the 21-year-old was known as a problematic boy even earlier.

There is serious evidence from residents who say that among the dead is a 15-year-old who approached the 21-year-old with a gun to save his brother, but the gunfire took his life. Others say that Uros also shot the elderly who were repairing the fence not far from the yard.

After the event, President Aleksandar Vucic issued a press statement, the second time within 48 hours, describing it as a terrorist attack on the country and announcing new measures.

“This is an attack on our entire country, and from now on we will send about 1,000 police officers to schools so that children are safe. We will recruit 1,200 new police officers. I demanded the return of the death penalty, but the prime minister and the government refused me. We will completely disarm Serbia. The penalties will be very high for illegal weapons. Thursday’s attack was a terrorist attack. The perpetrator was arrested and will never see the light of day again.”

Many European political figures have reacted to the events in Serbia by condemning the attacks and offering condolences to those affected by the tragedies, among them Josep Borrell, the European Union’s chief diplomat, and the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Marija Pejčinović Burić.

Two days ago, another massacre took place at a school in Belgrade, where a 13-year-old boy killed 8 classmates and the school guard, while injuring several others. In Belgrade, a 16-year-old girl reportedly stabbed her classmate and teacher. What is even more shocking is the numerous comments on social media that support these killers and call them ‘heroes.’

What happened at the elementary school in Belgrade:

The 13-year-old identified as Kosta.K has executed 9 people with a gun today in an elementary school “Vladislav Ribnikar”. He has killed the guard and 8 students of the class. Kosta is an excellent student and winner of the mathematics Olympiad, while earlier he was ranked third in the history Olympiad. The media alludes that it was this anger he had with the history teacher that pushed him towards the monstrous act.

He took his father’s firearm and opened fire at around 8:00 a.m., when school usually starts. After killing them, he was immediately arrested by Serbian police.
