22 years of pain and sorrow for the Serbian Yugoslav murder of Nexhmedin Hyseni Neçko from Kumanovo

Kumanovo as a city is quite distinguished for bravery, courage and devotion to national ideals. As a city, it has produced brave men and women who have resisted various time barriers with stoicism and courage. Depending on the circumstances, this city is proud to have born and raised brave and invincible people. Thus, it is proud of its past, proud of its brave people, proud of its history.

Nexhmedin Hyseni Neçko

As a city, it is located in the part of North Macedonia with an area of 1193 square km, with an extremely favorable geographical position. The Albanian population of this city has been exposed to unprecedented violence, genocide and an anti-human policy, carried out by various ancient and contemporary invaders. This city during the communist period has been a target of the Yugoslav UDB security, as evidenced by various documents and archives.

The data show that this city, due to the more pronounced national tendencies and the desire to be free on the part of the Albanian population, has been an experiment of the Yugoslav state security and this Albanian population has experienced the blacks of the olive tree. But on the other hand, this city has also produced brave men who have opposed the nationalists and Slavic chauvinists with courage and rare bravery.

Fate wanted Kumanovo to bring to light brave men like Sulë Hotli, Sadik Llojani, Enver Destani, Nexhmedin Hyseni, Arif Seferi, Ismet Jashari, etc., and finally the brave men who fell in the 2001 war, who heroically fell to defend the homeland, but who unfortunately to this day have no one to take care of their families, because Albanian political parties come and go and no one takes care of these martyrs. In what case is the Slavic saying “Give Albanians everything as individuals but give them nothing as a nation” valid?

Thus, some Albanians were given ministerial positions, high positions, which they won precisely thanks to the heroic fall of these martyrs, but they do not worry about anything because they “have” things well. This is not the issue I want to elaborate on in this article. What I want to emphasize is that this city has been in the eyes of the Slavs because of the alleged ‘Albanian nationalism and separatism’.

The Slavic saying “This is red Kumanovo, and what is red is what is to be” is a short-sighted dream for the Slavs of this area. Because of disagreement with this policy, many brave Albanians of this area have fallen on the altar of freedom to never die. They were killed, shot, and treacherously liquidated by the Slavic hand of the then and today’s UDB, but with a different performance. One of them is undoubtedly the brave boy from Kumanovo, Nexhmedin Hyseni-Neçkoja, a brave, generous and loyal boy.

Neçkoja was born in 1953 in Kumanovo, to father Ramadani and mother Hafizja. He was the only son in this family. He was raised in a patriotic and national spirit and for this reason he was hindered by the inhumane Slavic policies of that time. Neçhmedini’s family was targeted by the Slavic UDB.

His uncle Nuredini had been a member of the Ballist forces, and for this reason he was killed in Sopot, or rather massacred by Slavic hands. Nuredini’s sons and daughters, due to violence and permanent pressures, were forced to move to Turkey, at the same time having all their property taken away by the Slavic state, because they had been a Ballist family.

For Neçhmedini, this was a prelude to him never agreeing to such a thing. Thus, with an uncle killed, with his family mistreated and displaced to Turkey, with his hard-earned wealth taken from the state, he had no choice but to oppose such an inhumane policy with determination and determination. Starting from day to day, he was stung in the eye by the power of that time, by the Slavic criminals of that time, who mistreated innocent Albanians, while Neçko, due to his bravery and courage, did not allow such a thing.

With his bravery channeled in problematic and challenging ways, he would be David against the Slavic Goliaths, defeating them at all times and emerging victorious. He was also ruthless towards the spies and various Albanian speakers who were collaborators of the Slavic power and the Yugoslav UDB, in which case he would attack them and not let them rest.

He was greatly hindered by the mistreatment of Albanians. Wherever the Albanian identity was violated in Kumanovo, he was in the right place, opposing it with his incredible physical strength, which God had forgiven him. For this, he would be declared a dangerous person for the state and would spend a lot of time in prison.

There, finally, his physical liquidation would be planned. His bravery in Kumanovo is an example to this day. Where Albanian was not spoken, Neçkoja spoke Albanian, where Albanian was not sung, Neçkoja sang Albanian, where Albanian was not breathed, Neçkoja breathed Albanian. Thus, Slavic criminals and hooligans, as well as those Albanian speakers, were not comfortable with this rare brave man.

Because of the bravery shown in Kumanovo, his courage, agility and unimaginable physical strength, he would also be involved in the structures of the then People’s Movement of Kosovo in Switzerland, which was not yet such, where he would train Albanians in knife fighting.

He was charged with this mission. So he took on a great task, because he knew that war was needed to liberate Kosovo. He did not stop there, the various Slavic criminals and mafiosi in Kumanovo as well as some Albanian speakers and servants, he disciplined them without hesitation, through his methods. But, the UDB, would never forgive him for this.

They investigated him for his activity in Switzerland, also prevented an Albanian from being INVICTUS in Kumanovo, or invincible, and for this reason organized his insidious liquidation, because they were afraid to appear before this fearless Vigani. On August 5, 1988, Friday, at 5:45 p.m., the day before he was to go to Switzerland, for his activity and his national conspiratorial mission, an ambush was organized in front of the Kumanovo hospital, in front of the “Esnafi” cafe, on the Kumanovo-Skopje road, by the UDB of Kumanovo.

The pretext for his liquidation was “he is a sworn nationalist and separatist and “nemirna dusa” (uneasy soul), a pretext that was also proven with the event of August 29, 1988, when many Albanians would be sentenced to heavy sentences without a court hearing for staged crimes. On August 5, 1988, the UDB, located the location of Nexhmedini Trim, sent numerous police forces around the hospital, so that in case the foreseen scenario and plan A did not materialize, it would be switched to plan B, namely murder by the police.

After ensuring that Neçko did not have a weapon with him, the scenario of premeditated and planned murder in time would be carried out by 3 main people and many others around, with the help of the police. These people who did not dare to appear before the eyes of this brave Albanian, because he had given them the right lesson many times, were from the village of Matec, rewarded and organized by the UDB of Kumanovo, by order of Belgrade.

This uncomfortable soul had to be killed because he was an obstacle and a Chinese wall for the Slavic criminals of Kumanovo. So Nexhmedin would be called by a policeman for a conversation, to attract his attention. The policeman’s name was Milorad. He was sent to carry out this staged act. Nexhmedin was killed by: Romeo Živić, Dragan Živić (brothers) and Nebojša Gelević, son of Denko Gelević (Denki).

All three were Serbs and criminals from Skopje. On the side were other Serbian criminals with constant police support. They had weapons, special knives, chains for them, an oven and an iron hammer. While talking to the policeman, he is attacked from behind and thus begins the fight with the criminals. Due to the large presence of other criminals and the continuous attacks with heavy weapons, he falls to the ground.

They beat him even more with the aforementioned weapons and a piece of iron is inserted into his stomach. He ends up with 36 stab wounds. He dies after 5 minutes, whispering the last words “Ah mother, the shkije (Slavs) killed me”. After this “patriotic” act, the criminals went and celebrated with the police in the Mateç Monastery. They “liberated” Kumanovo from Neçko. There was no one to stop them on their criminal path.

The Macedonian and foreign press of that time itself wrote about this murder as a serious murder. None of the murderers would be tried, on the contrary, they would be rewarded and would become leaders of the Slavic mafia underground in Macedonia, with direct links to the Serbian criminal Arkan.

These criminals would be sent to war in Bosnia and Kosovo, to commit murders and other barbaric crimes. The entire city would participate in the funeral of the deceased Neçhmedin, as well as Albanians from all Albanian territories, because his bravery and courage had made a name for themselves elsewhere. For this murder, there is still a silence that kills and an enigma, because there was a lack of courage to write, out of fear, because the aforementioned criminals were still active in Kumanovo and Macedonia until some time ago, with institutional and police support.

The courage to write about this murder, as well as about some others, for example about Arif Seferi, was taken by the late professor Mr. Tefik Jahiu. In order for the audience not to forget the Slavic crimes, I wrote the text so that the Albanian audience has access to accurate and authentic information.

What is even more enigmatic and must be revealed is the continuous mistreatment of Albanians after the murder of Neçko, by Romeo Živić and other criminals, his collaboration with various politicians and officials, his collaboration with some Albanian speakers, who for the sake of the drug business saw nothing else. The participation of this criminal in Arkan’s wedding proves his connections with Arkan and other Serbian criminal structures.

His statement that I am Arkan of Kumanovo serves as a sufficient argument for this. The capture of this criminal hostage by the brave men of the KLA in 2001 would have been good news, as would the declaration of a free zone, because this same criminal at that time was engaged in training various Slavic paramilitary forces for the war of 2001. His capture prevented the massacre of many Albanians.

For this, it can be freely said that the brave men of the KLA have committed a patriotic act. His release through the intervention of the Red Cross, although it was undesirable for many Albanians, influenced his discipline after the 2001 war, until his final murder by Jane Pavlovski-Tica, for settling criminal scores.

The misfortune lies in the failure to present arguments for the collaboration of this criminal with several KLA commanders, in which case after his release by the Red Cross he would have publicly thanked them. Also, the participation of several Albanian speakers in the burial of this criminal in 2004 remains an occasion for research.

On the anniversary of the macabre murder of Nexhmedin Hyseni-Necko, we remember with pain and longing this brave man from Kumanovo. Cicero’s saying “Live like a brave man, and if fate is not with you, resist the fall with a heart of bravery” applies to him. Being a hero in Kumanovo is a great sacrifice and a great price is demanded. Aristotle rightly emphasizes that “where wisdom is valued, there are wise men. Where courage is valued, there are brave men”.

Kumanovo possesses both types of people and for this reason it is proud. Because the world belongs to the brave, not the timid. In such a world, Nexhmedin Hyseni-Necko of Kumanovo is undoubtedly an inseparable part.

Verses dedicated to Nexhmedin Hyseni-Necko

Black clouds fell on the sky
And you went up to the sky
You went, the brave man of Albanianism
You were killed by the hand of treachery.

I have not lived a peaceful life
My life is spent in prisons
My life is spent in suffering
I am glad that I went as a brave man.

I was silent only when they cut me off
My hearth no longer feels me
The blood spilled in the well
As if a candle went out.

O Nexhmedin, you rare brave
Your mother had no son
Proud Kumanova remembers you
No, Albanian bravery has not died.
