“The Turkish government intends to reinforce the field army by 50,000 men by the middle of this month. Two regiments from Egypt and one regiment from Tunisia have sent auxiliary troops to Thessaloniki. To arm the Albanians deployed against the Montenegrins, Abdi Pasha, the former police minister who was appointed commander of all irregular troops, embarked from Constantinople to Antivari with 15,000 rifles and 20,000 yataghans.”
