“Zemlya, July 25. A complete reconnaissance of Chernaev’s army is taking place from south to east. The headquarters is being moved to Zaichar. Chernaev is to take up arms against Osman Pasha. Two Austrian monitors are in Belgrade at the disposal of Prince Wrede.

A total defeat of the Montenegrins at Nevesinje is reported after three hours of bloody fighting. The Montenegrins were attacked simultaneously by Mukhtar Pasha and the Besakung and suffered heavy losses.”
