The Dardanians revered the graves as the eternal homes of their faith. The veneration of the graves of the saints had such divine significance that they made it a mandatory pilgrimage. Until recently, in the villages around Duboc Castle, there were graves with large stones, reaching over 2 meters in height and looking like frescoes, which were supposed to represent a contribution of the Dardanian society to their deities.

The ruins of these stones were found during the 70s of the last century, when they were visited by Serbian archaeologists and were mercilessly looted. These large stones are remembered when they were collected and loaded onto trucks, so that the Serbian archaeologists danced, sang, rejoiced and fired their weapons. When they were stolen and lost, almost all of them remained only deep pits.

Their return will never happen. Neither the state nor God will discover the thief. Those stones were taken by Serbian priests from Belgrade, carried like old bulls to pray in front of the Serbian church. My generation and those older than me remember these stones in Galicë, Duboc, Beqiq. These stones stood on the edge of the village road. In Duboc they were most pronounced in Kodrija and in the Behrami neighborhood, on the edge of the road leading to Beqiq.
