Haki Pasha, who became Sadrias, in the Turkish Council of Ministers, in the first conversation said:

“First of all, I will speak to you about something very necessary. The greatest danger to Turkey, of all the nations that live under our empire, are the Albanians; there is a great fear of this nation lest it wake up from its deep sleep and not wake up, lest it take knowledge with its own language, and that time the river took the Turk of Europe.

They have begun to lay the foundations of the nation through the writing and singing of the Turk, and one day they may put the Turk in our hands; they have an easy and complete language, which can quickly advance them; their history is coming to light, it is the ruin of Turkey. Europe has a great sympathy for this nation; with the proclamation of freedom, the Albanians wanted education, opened schools, large and small, opened clubs, opened.

They printed, held congresses and did so much work that we could not even imagine. Therefore, this movement must be stopped, we must destroy and divide them, suppress them so that they have no power.”
