Newspaper article about Russian volunteers in the Serbian army in 1912

Translated:

“Russian volunteers. Thousands of them are offering to help us. —

Moscow, September 26.

The Serbian compound in Moscow was formally occupied by a large number of Russians who had come to sign up as volunteers.

The head of the monastery, Archimandrite Mihailo, with three students, cannot resist the onslaught when enrolling volunteers.

So far, there has been no response from Belgrade as to whether the volunteers will be accepted.”
