Cited:

“Last Saturday, Turkish troops and volunteers attacked the fortifications established by the Serbs on the heights of Tschokvica, near Novi Pazar. After a five-hour engagement, the Serbian forces were routed, leaving behind 400 dead, as well as an equal number of rifles and cartridge pouches, 387 shovels, and more than 200 carbines. An exact casualty count could not be determined due to the onset of darkness. Turkish forces suffered 17 dead and 12 wounded. The day before yesterday, Montenegrin forces were defeated near Podgorica, sustaining over 800 fatalities.”
