“Reuters’ special correspondent in Istanbul telegraphs under the date of the 8th: After two days of bloody fighting, Hafiz Pasha—commander of the Novi Pazar division—defeated the enemy yesterday and retook Kursumlija. Serbian losses were considerable. Eyub Pasha, commanding the Novi Pazar civic guard, also inflicted a defeat on the Serbs and pursued them to the border. The Turks captured six Serbian military outposts and destroyed them. The civic guard in Kalatschin (Kaličina) has completely scattered the band of the notorious insurgent leader Naduan. Skirmishes are reported from Omurkeni, near Djarnussa”.
