Montenegrin atrocities in 1876: How King Nikola Petrovic ordered that no mercy be shown to Turkish prisoners of war

Cited from an article from 1876:

“The Oriental War. The following reports from the theater of war have reached us: Ragusa, August 27 (from a Turkish source): Following Prince Nikita’s order to show no mercy to captured Turks, many men are now in Turkish hospitals who were taken prisoner by the Montenegrins during the battle at Medun and subsequently mutilated in the most atrocious manner. Twenty Turks had their noses cut off, and fifteen had their ears severed; one man even had his right arm hacked off. After the mutilation was carried out, the Turks were driven out of the Montenegrin camp.”
