“Departed Constantinople, August 1. Reports from Nish state that the Turks have launched an offensive and driven the Serbs back. Turkish troops captured the Serbian entrenchments near Dervent and advanced into Serbia in the direction of Guševac and Tuč. Dispatches from Vidin also report that the Turks have taken the offensive. The Montenegrins were defeated near Antivari.”
